Q. I am trying to learn about stocks. If you were to choose two different stocks listed in the New York Stock Exchange, which one would you invest in, and why would you choose one over the other? What influenced your decision? A. I wouldn't invest in specifically one or two stocks, unless of course I had insider information, which is then illegal. I would invest into a portfolio of stocks to diversify my holdings in case one or two stocks don't make it. For regular investors, that's a rule, or else you stand good chances to blow your money. Some hedge funds hold highly concentrated portfolios, but their investing strategies are different from individual investors', so they play a whole different game. Good luck! Moni.
