Q. What is the difference between investment and savings?

A. Savings is simply a bank account and is basically cash equivalent. Investment is a brokerage account and contains stocks, bonds, mutual funds, etc, simply speaking, different types of assets, usually more risky than just cash, but also with more profit potential. If you decide to invest, open a brokerage account, or a retirement account (IRA, 401K), and invest through them. It's especially important if you are young. I always recommend our Personal Financial Analyzer for people to try and see what they are missing in their financial life and how to handle their finances beyond everyday purchases and spending. Good luck!
